Slate with Nickel Glaze on Cherry is considered a Medium Stain. These finishes are suitable for many interiors, but depending on the wood species you select you may find that some Medium Stains require more or less light to look their best. We recommend ordering samples to determine if a particular Medium Stain is right for your interior.
Cherry displays a distinctive grain pattern and warm color shadings, ranging from nearly white to dark reddish brown. Dark pockets, pin knots and random streaks are common. More than most woods, cherry will darken when exposed to light, especially in light stains.Cherry is available on some doors in a “Rustic” variety which will incorporate knots and other figured details of the wood into your cabinetry. Not all door styles are available with this modification, so check with your designer before requesting Rustic Cherry.
