Cabinet Decorative Accessories

Cabinet decorative accessories can add a touch of style and personality to your living space. They play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity, functionality, and overall atmosphere of a kitchen or living space. Whether aiming for a traditional, modern, or eclectic look, thoughtful selection and integration of decorative elements contribute to a well-designed and inviting home environment.

Molding

Moldings are used in cabinetry design to “finish off” a space, including the space above kitchen cabinets, and enhance both functionality and aesthetics. By incorporating moldings, designers and their clients can align with their stylistic vision or simply achieve a polished look. This includes categories such as crown moldings for the cabinet soffit, base moldings for the lower edges, undercabinet (light rail) moldings for concealed lighting, and various decorative and finishing moldings. These moldings provide numerous decorating ideas, allowing for customization that complements the overall design of the kitchen. Every design can benefit from the thoughtful inclusion of moldings, and Tuscan Hills designers always integrate them into our design work to ensure a cohesive and elegant finish.

Wood Hoods

Decorative wood hoods are statement pieces which lend no small measure of character and gravitas to a new kitchen. Designed to fit our high-end blower and liner systems (sold separately), our custom wood hoods are hand crafted to order just like our cabinetry, and finished to match. Please note that not all wood species can be accommodated in all hood designs, and that hardwood lots will not match your cabinetry hardwood lot as the hoods are made in a different facility.

Comparative pricing is shown below. Wood hood pricing is highly dependent on many factors, including ceiling height, door style, finish, wood species, the make and model of your cooking surface, blower and liner systems and any optional design customizations to your hood. These price levels should be used only to compare pricing between options.

Corbels, Posts & Bun Feet

These decorative accessories were once necessary to support the overhang of countertops and to support “floating” cabinetry. Advances in stonecutting and the advent of modular floating bracket installation has relegated corbels, posts, and bun feet to a primarily decorative role. These embellishments are great for a traditional kitchen or to give a hint of elegance in a transitional space.

Inserts and Wood Mullions

Doors can be enhanced with decorative inserts such as glass or wire mesh, and further enhanced by wood mullions. These accessories, thoughtfully applied, can instantly personalize a space and transform it from ‘just cabinets’ to your space.

Valances

Valances in cabinets serve several purposes, both functional and aesthetic. Traditionally, valances tie two disparate sections together and allow for moldings to continue across gaps in the cabinetry – like above a window for instance.
